Job summary

KitchenEnergySolutions is hiring a Commercial Electrical/Controls Technician for nationwide travel in the U.S. to install, service, and repair DCKV systems in commercial kitchens.

You will work in teams or solo, require an Electrical Journeyman’s license, and must be prepared for extended travel and overnight shifts with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Electrical journeyman's license is required.
• Ability to travel nationwide for weeks at a time.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.
• Excellent driving record; trustworthy with company vehicle.
• Forklift or related mechanical aptitude is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Install sensors directly into kitchen hoods and drill into stainless steel.
• Install and wire VFDs to modulate exhaust fans and power supplies.
• Install and wire new fan motors and exhaust fans as needed.
• Program and commission the DCKV system and train the customer.
• Travel nationwide; possibly 3 weeks on, 1 week off.
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and test instruments on site.

KESTechniciansperformfullinstallations,service,andrepairsofourDCKVsystemandotherenergyefficientsolutionsincommercialkitchens.

It'sauniquecareerthatcombineselectrical,controls,andproblem-solving.Everyprojectisdifferent,andnotwodaysarethesame.

• Installingandwiringnewexhaustfansasneeded,andotherassociatedlowvoltagewiring.
• ProgramandcommissiontheDCKVsystemandtrainthecustomeronfunctionalityandusage.
• Showupsharpandontime
• Communicateeffectivelywithothertradesonsite:controls,plumbing,electrical,mechanical,andmore
• Maintainprofessionaljob-siteetiquetteandfollowOSHAsafetyguidelines
• Reviewjobspecifications,scopeofwork,submittals,blueprints,andsafetyrequirements
