Job summary

KitchenEnergySolutions is seeking Commercial Electrical KES National Technicians for full-time, in-field work across the United States with nationwide travel. Starting pay ranges from $35.00 to $45.00 per hour, with paid training and comprehensive benefits.

The role involves installing, wiring, and commissioning DCKV systems in commercial kitchens and requires an Electrical Journeyman’s license and readiness to travel.

Qualifications

• Electrical Journeyman’s license is required.
• 21 years or older with a high school diploma or GED.
• Able to travel nationwide for weeks at a time.
• Excellent driving record—you'll be trusted with a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Install sensors directly into kitchen hoods (drilling into stainless steel).
• Install VFDs to modulate exhaust fans with proper power wiring (120V/1, 208V/3, 460V/3).
• Install and wire new fan motors as needed.
• Install and wire exhaust fans and other low‑voltage wiring.
• Program and commission the DCKV system and train the customer on functionality.
• Travel nationwide; may have up to 3 weeks on the road followed by 1 week off.

DCKVistheprocessofmeasuringthelevelofcookingactivityincommercialkitchenhoodsandmodulatingthespeedoftheassociatedexhaustandsupplyfanstobeusedonlyasneeded.Byadjustingtheseunits,thesecommercialkitchenssaveatremendousamountofenergyintheirelectrical,heating,andcoolingusage.

KESTechniciansperformfullinstallations,service,andrepairsofourDCKVsystemandotherenergyefficientsolutionsincommercialkitchens.

It'sauniquecareerthatcombineselectrical,controls,andproblem-solving.Everyprojectisdifferent,andnotwodaysarethesame.

KESTechnicianswillworktogetherinteamsoftwo,orindividuallytoaccomplishthesetasksoneachjobsite.ElectricalJourneyman’slicenseisrequired,pleasebepreparedtosubmitituponrequest.
