Job summary

Solid Rock Recruiting LLC is seeking an Estimator for commercial drywall projects in Austin, TX. The role supports centralized estimating while serving as the local Austin presence, handling bids on mid-size to large healthcare and aviation projects.

You will engage general contractors, build relationships, and balance estimation with light business development, with a strong culture and growth potential in a stable, long-term environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial drywall estimating experience (not entry-level).
• OST (On-Screen Takeoff) experience required.
• Ability to independently take and run bids from day one.
• Experience with large drywall subcontractors is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and client-facing personality.
• Team-oriented mindset with interest in long-term growth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate drywall estimates for commercial projects.
• Work closely with a centralized estimating team while serving as the local Austin presence.
• Proactively engage with general contractors to secure bid opportunities.
• Support projects ranging from mid-sized commercial work to large-scale healthcare and aviation projects.
• Balance estimating responsibilities with relationship-building and light business development.
