Vortex Doors in North Denver, CO is seeking Service Technicians to install, service, and maintain a wide range of commercial doors and hardware with a focus on safety, precision, and top-tier customer care. You will handle door systems, troubleshoot issues, and document work thoroughly.

The role requires good problem-solving, familiarity with door hardware, and a clean driving record; full-time hours Mon–Fri with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Two or more years in commercial door service is a plus (not required).
• Familiarity with various door makes, models, and hardware is a plus.
• Skilled with hand and power tools; proficient operating power tools.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Comfort with fractions and precise tape measure readings for accurate layouts and installs.
• Clear communication and a customer-first approach.
• Attention to detail and pride in quality work.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and consistent use of safe work practices.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; regularly bend, lift, and work on knees; climb ladders up to 20 feet.
• Additional ongoing training provided.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair commercial door systems using the right tools and methods.
• Diagnose and fix issues such as damaged springs, hinges, locks, and electrical components.
• Set up and adjust hardware including locks, handles, closers, and access control devices.
• Verify every job meets applicable safety requirements and building codes.
• Deliver clear, courteous customer service; explain findings and offer cost-effective solutions.
• Record work performed, parts used, and site notes with accuracy.
• Troubleshoot methodically to resolve technical problems efficiently.
• Perform final quality checks to ensure work meets company standards.
