Himmel’s Architectural Door and Hardware in Prairieville, LA is hiring a Commercial Door/Hardware Installer to install and repair doors and hardware on commercial sites. The role runs Monday–Friday, 6am–3:30pm, with competitive compensation and benefits.

The job requires reading blueprints, using tools, and applying carpentry knowledge, in a team environment. Qualified candidates should have experience installing doors, understanding safety codes, and the ability to coordinate with project

• Ability to read blueprints and follow directions.
• Proficient in using hand and power tools.
• Strong carpentry knowledge and methods.
• Ability to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Measure, mark, and arrange materials based on blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Install doors using hand and power tools.
• Check accuracy with levels and framing squares; fix issues as needed.
• Follow local building and safety codes and guidelines.
• Track progress with end-of-day reports.
• Coordinate with project manager and on-site contacts to ensure completion and satisfaction.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
