Himmel’s Architectural Door and Hardware in Prairieville, LA is hiring a Commercial Door/Hardware Installer to install and repair doors and hardware on commercial sites. The role runs Monday–Friday, 6am–3:30pm, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Responsibilities

• Track progress with end-of-day reports.
• Coordinate with project manager and on-site contacts to ensure completion and satisfaction.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

TheCommercial Door/Hardware Installerposition is expected to install and repair doors and hardware on commercial sites.

This position is scheduled Monday - Friday 6am – 3:30pm.

Job Responsibilities

• Measures, marks, and arranges materials to established layout based on blueprints or instructions from supervisors.
• Uses various hand and power tools to securely install doors.
• Ensures the accuracy of work by checking completed projects with tools such as levels or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.
• Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
• Track progress through detailed end of day reporting
• Coordinate with project manager and onsite customer contact(s) to ensure project completion and satisfaction are met.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
• Ability to properly care for and use tools of the trade.
• Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods
• Works well as part of a team.

Preferred

• Experience as a door installer or trim carpenter
