Job summary

Independent Bank in Troy, MI is seeking a Commercial Credit Intern to join our Main office. You will work with Credit Analysts, assisting in financial statement spreading, borrowing bases, and underwriting commercial loans.

This full-time internship offers mentoring from credit staff, collaboration on impactful projects, and an opportunity to present your group's recommendations to Independent Bank's Executive Leadership Team.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of accounting and finance.
• Experience with Microsoft Product Suites.
• Must be currently enrolled in a relevant field of study.

Responsibilities

• Review credit data to evaluate loan requests and monitor loan portfolio.
• Assist with financial statement spreading, borrowing bases, underwriting of loans and related duties.
• Analyze personal and corporate tax returns and financial statements to assess cash flow and borrower risk.

Commercial Credit Intern at our Troy - Main office, you will be joining a diverse team of passionate problem solvers dedicated to protecting Independent Bank capital while serving the needs of internal and external clients. In this full-time opportunity, you will work closely with Credit Analysts, assisting in tasks such as financial statement spreading, analyzing borrowingbases, and underwriting commercial loans.

What You Will Do:
