Job summary

Central States Manufacturing, Inc. is seeking a Credit Analyst in Tontitown, AR to support the credit team by analyzing the AR portfolio and mitigating credit risk. You will build relationships with customers and internal partners to ensure accurate, timely credit decisions and successful partnerships.

You will review financial statements, apply credit policies, and prepare reports while collaborating with sales to resolve disputes and protect company cash flow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3 years in commercial credit.
• Ability to be a self-starter with a solution-oriented mindset.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, handling high volume and making decisions with limited information.
• Analytical skills to evaluate customer credit data and determine terms.
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence.
• Excel expertise including formulas (VLOOKUP, pivot tables).
• Credit scoring utilizing rules and metrics.
• Ability to present information to colleagues and management.
• Strong communication and teamwork.
• 3+ years of commercial credit experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure prompt attention to all matters impacting the order-to-cash cycle.
• Approve or deny credit orders per policy to balance risk and customer relations.
• Know, understand and apply credit and collection policies, practices, and procedures.
• Regularly review collections status and assess credit risk for customers.
• Solicit financial statements for credit review as needed.
• Analyze credit requests and set terms within policy using financial data and references.
• Represent all aspects of credit and collections to optimize systems usage.
• Develop and analyze reports to meet business needs.
• Submit credit requests beyond authority to Credit Supervisor.
• Respond to internal and external inquiries related to credit.
• Maintain harmonious relations with customers, peers, and sales; collaborate with Sales to resolve disputes.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and participate in actions; report to supervisor.
