A growing, employee-owned manufacturing organization is seeking a Credit Representative to join its Credit Department in Springdale, Arkansas. This fully onsite position supports daily credit operations by processing customer payments, administering credit applications, maintaining accurate account information, reconciling transactions, and assisting with collection efforts.
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced office environment.
COMPENSATION
- Annual salary of $36,000 to $45,000
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Administer the customer credit application process, including account setup, renewals, and verification of required documentation
- Review customer profiles and recommend credit terms and limits based on established criteria
- Process customer payments and apply cash receipts accurately
- Maintain accurate customer statements and account records
- Reconcile customer accounts using bank and general ledger information
- Process and document credits, account adjustments, and returned merchandise authorizations
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer and internal account inquiries
- Partner with Accounting and Sales to obtain and maintain sales tax certificates
- Support collection efforts for past-due customer accounts
- Prepare and maintain departmental reports and performance tracking
- Protect the confidentiality and security of customer and financial information
- Work collaboratively with team members to support departmental service levels and performance goals
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced office environment
- Proficiency with computers and standard office applications
- Ability to work fully onsite in Springdale, Arkansas
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- One to two years of experience in credit, collections, accounts receivable, cash application, or a related financial function
- Experience processing customer payments and reconciling accounts
- Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with commercial credit practices, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation
