Job summary

Baird Careers is seeking an Attorney to provide practical legal counsel and transactional support across vendor contracting and real estate matters. The role offers hybrid work with in-office days in Milwaukee, WI or Louisville, KY and some travel as needed.

You’ll handle routine, defined assignments with guidance, grow cross-functional knowledge, and apply independent legal judgment to outputs while protecting confidential information.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law school with top academic achievement preferred.
• 1+ year of relevant legal experience in contracts, corporate or regulatory matters.
• Active admission to at least one U.S. state bar and ability to satisfy practice requirements.
• Strong legal research, drafting and negotiation skills; familiarity with AI tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft and review vendor agreements and other commercial contracts.
• Advise internal partners on contractual terms and legal risk for routine matters.
• Support real estate leases and related legal matters as assigned.
• Cross-train with attorneys across the Legal Department.
• Conduct legal research and translate findings into concise guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners on regulatory and operational matters.
• Safely use approved AI tools and protect confidential information.
