Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC is seeking a Commercial Contracts Analyst II to manage and execute contract work with a focus on market research and data purchase agreements. You will act as a superuser for contracting tools, ensure compliance, and guide stakeholders through self-service and full-service processes.

This role requires strong contract management experience, familiarity with PO structures, and the ability to collaborate across Finance and Legal teams while working remotely in PST

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5–10 years of experience OR Master’s degree with 5–10 years of experience.
  • Preferred experience in contract management, procurement, healthcare law/compliance, or as a paralegal.
  • Demonstrated experience handling market research and/or data purchase agreements is highly preferred.
  • Solid understanding of accounting, billing, and PO structures to support end-to-end financial operations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Mac operating systems, contracting systems, online/cloud systems (e.g., Google Workspace/Docs/Drive/Sheets), and Internet browsers.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (MS Word, MS Excel).
  • Occasional business travel by air or car.

  • Manage POs and invoicing: ensure timely issuance and tracking; liaise with Accounts Payable to resolve billing discrepancies.

Commercial Contracts Analyst II

Location- 1 DNA Way South San Francisco CA USA 94080

Contract Duration:12+ Months (Potential for Extension or Full-Time Conversion)

Pay Rate:$26hr-$45.40hr (W2) Based on Experience

Benefits:Weekly Pay, Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance

Working Model- Remote (PST Hours) Working Hours between 8am to 5pm, total schedule for the week between 25-35 hours expected. Up to 40 hours can be allotted for the role.

Position Summary:

The Commercial Contracts Associate is responsible for expeditiously and compliantly managing and processing contracts. The Associate will act as the designated superuser to process and execute self-service contracts on behalf of business stakeholders. For full-service contracts, the Associate will perform initial system intake in myBuy or Navigator. Given the high volume of agreement, specifically in market research and data purchasing—this role optimizes business processes by:

  • Enhancing Business Efficiency: Facilitating faster contract turnarounds, allowing projects to focus on strategy rather than administrative tasks.
  • Driving Operational Excellence: Serving as a dedicated resource with expertise in specific project and contract types (e.g., market research and data purchase contracts), and acting as the single point of contact for training, process improvements, and template enhancements.
  • Delivering Technical Expertise: Being a “super user” of our contracting solution (MyBuy & gMEMORI) and providing support across the organization for contract processing and management.
  • Supporting Compliance & Standardization: Ensuring consistent use of templates, identifying trends, experimenting with new practices, and reducing business risks.
  • Managing POs & Invoicing: Providing end-to-end oversight on how Purchase Orders (POs) should be structured to ensure appropriate business flexibility and driving the resolution of invoicing issues.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the single point of contact for all contract-related queries, amendments, PO creation, vendor classification, and invoicing queries.
  • Advise project owners on whether their request qualifies for direct-submission (self-service) or requires processing via Full Service.
  • Process and oversee market research and data purchase contracts, ensuring compliance with vendor Master Service Agreement terms, data privacy requirements, and acceptable use policies.
  • Manage the US Market Research and Patient Support Program (MAP) to comply with US regulations.
  • Process self-service requests and prioritize full-service contract requests to expedite execution in the contract management tool (e.g., MyBuy)
  • Manage Purchase Orders (POs) and Invoicing:
    • Ensure the on-time creation, issuance, and tracking of POs.
    • Partner with Finance to ensure PO structure is optimized for complex market research and data purchase agreements, serving as a quality check to drive accuracy in reporting and FACT coding.
    • Act as a liaison between vendors, internal stakeholders, and Accounts Payable to track invoice processing, resolve billing discrepancies, and ensure timely payments.
  • Flag issues or delays to stakeholders and resolve them by ensuring contract workflows are completed on time or submitting tickets to IT for system issues.
  • Partner with CCS to ensure operational excellence and continual optimization of contracting practices.
  • Conduct educational sessions to train project owners on the contracting process and MyBuy.
Required Capabilities:

  • Is a self-starter with strong problem-solving capabilities and interpersonal skills. Approaches unique contracting situations with creativity and discipline to mitigate risks.
  • Flexibility to work occasionally with Global Procurement and Contract teams outside of the Pacific Standard Time Zones, specifically in Europe and South America.
  • Prior work experiences with data contracts, market research regulations, and digital/technology contracts are preferred.
