One of North County San Diego's most stable General Contractors is currently in hyper-growth mode and seeking an experienced Superintendent for projects in the Spokane, WA area. Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage daily field activities to meet project milestones and schedules, supervising all work on site.
- Create and track short-interval look-ahead schedules, communicate upcoming events, identify potential issues, and facilitate solutions.
- Manage and promote a safety, health, and cleanliness culture on the project site.
- Coordinate work to ensure it is constructed in an orderly manner, adhering to contract standards and industry best practices.
- Establish and maintain dimensional controls, including third-party survey and layout when needed.
- Verify work quality (plumb, level, straight, etc.).
- Obtain inspections and document quality aspects of work.
- Ensure compliance with all contract terms, legal requirements, and community standards.
- Administer client-specific programs (Landlord/Site Rules, Safety, Security).
- Participate in pre-construction, progress, and staff meetings.
- Manage self-performed activities within the project budget.
- Handle scope changes, ensuring use of current documents to prevent rework.
- Administer contracts, subcontracts, and purchase orders to ensure scope and terms are met.
- Manage punch list and project closeout for timely completion.
- Maintain daily paperwork (timecards, reports, updates, emails).
- Engage with supporting teams and vendors professionally.
- Complete project schedules for proposals, estimates, and interviews.
- Participate in marketing efforts and project acquisition.
- Perform other duties as needed to support company goals.
Qualifications & Requirements
- MUST have experience managing tilt-up and ground-up commercial projects.
- Associate degree in Construction Management or equivalent, or Journeyman status in a building trade, with demonstrated supervisory experience.
- Understanding of construction methods for commercial, institutional, and site work.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, scheduling software, and industry-specific tools.
- Current safety certifications including OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR.
