Job summary

Monteith Construction Corp. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field activities, ensure safety, lean planning, and scheduling while coordinating trade partners and maintaining high customer satisfaction.

You will build relationships with Owners, Architects, Trade Partners and Suppliers, supervise field crews, manage paperwork, and participate in pre-construction and progress meetings.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience supervising commercial construction.
• Ability to travel.
• Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with Procore is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with Owner, Architect, Trade Partners & Suppliers.
• Ensure that all projects are performed by contract and quality standards.
• Schedule and direct the daily activities of work and take necessary actions to ensure that the project objectives of cleanliness, safety, price, schedule, quality, and process are met.
• Maintain daily paperwork; timecards, field reports, schedule updates, RFIs, and E-mail correspondence.
• Implement project schedules ensuring upcoming events are on track and being proactively attended to.
• Promote and maintain safety, health, and cleanliness on the job site.
• Conduct and attend pre-construction, progress, and other project and staff meetings.
• Participate in training and other forms of continuous improvement initiatives.

What You’ll Do At Monteith

As a Superintendent, you will manage the overall day-to-day supervision of field-related construction activities. This includes maintaining a safe work environment, conducting LEAN planning and construction scheduling, managing cost and quality control, coordinating trade partners, and strengthening relationships by ensuring the highest customer satisfaction.
