Job summary

Monteith Construction Corp. in Myrtle Beach, SC is seeking a Spotlight Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field supervision, LEAN planning, and scheduling.

You will coordinate trades and suppliers to meet cost, schedule, and quality goals while maintaining a safe, productive site. You will build strong relationships with owners, architects, and partners, manage daily paperwork, and lead meetings to drive continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in supervising commercial construction.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours.
• Excellent organizational, communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with Procore is a plus.
• Ability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Owner, Architect, Trade Partner & Supplier relationships.
• Ensure that all projects are performed by contract and quality standards.
• Schedule and direct the daily activities of work and take necessary actions to ensure that the project objectives of cleanliness, safety, price, schedule, quality, and process are met.
• Maintain daily paperwork; timecards, field reports, schedule updates, RFIs, and E-mail correspondence.
• Implement project schedules ensuring upcoming events are on track and being proactively attended to.
• Promote and maintain safety, health, and cleanliness on the job site.
• Conduct and attend pre-construction, progress, and other project and staff meetings.
• Participate in training and other forms of continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Do At Monteith

As a SPOTLIGHT Superintendent, you will manage the overall day-to-day supervision of field-related construction activities. This includes maintaining a safe work environment, conducting LEAN planning and construction scheduling, managing cost and quality control, coordinating trade partners, and strengthening relationships by ensuring the highest customer satisfaction.
