Join Our Team as a Commercial Construction Superintendent at HITT Contracting Inc.

We are seeking a dedicated Commercial Construction Superintendent to lead on-site project activities, ensuring safety, quality, and timely delivery. This role involves coordinating project workflows, managing site safety, and serving as the primary on-site leader, fostering strong relationships with subcontractors and the project team.

Responsibilities

• Administer and promote the HITT safety program, ensuring all incidents are reported and investigated promptly.
• Maintain high-quality standards across all project aspects.
• Lead onsite safety efforts and manage a safe work environment.
• Keep detailed daily logs of activities and site conditions, managing punch lists and project closeout processes.
• Collaborate with the project manager to develop and follow project schedules, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with subcontractors and community stakeholders.
• Ensure accurate documentation of work orders and scope, identify early problems, and implement solutions.
• Organize site resources, including facilities and utilities, and identify long-lead items for expedited delivery.
• Work closely with the project team throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction, engineering, or business preferred; equivalent work experience considered.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial construction, including work with general contractors.
• Experience with tenant renovations, occupied spaces, and fast-paced projects is a plus.
• Strong understanding of building processes and project management software (e.g., Microsoft Office, ProCore, BlueBeam).
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Physical ability to walk/stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills, with a focus on safety and quality.
