EXPERIENCED CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT:

The Commercial Construction Superintendent will supervise all phases of project construction from pre-construction through project closeout, for a variety of projects in the Industrial and Commercial industries. You will be responsible for the performance, coordination and supervision of all the employees and subcontractors assigned to the project.

The ideal candidate for this position should possess strong leadership and organizational skills, have a proven track record of producing profitable work while maintaining the highest safety standards, be able to maintain strong field and interoffice relationships, and effectively direct the efforts of field and subcontractors to meet deadlines while maintaining the ability to shift priorities rapidly to accommodate various workload changes.

Duties Include:

1. Supervising all phases of construction.
2. Reading and understanding project plans and specifications.
3. Attending project meetings with owners, subcontractors, and office personnel.
4. Maintaining accurate quantity tracking for billing and review of pay estimates.
5. Understanding scope of contract and change orders.
6. Ability to multi-task under stress to meet deadlines.
7. Working with inspectors to ensure timely inspections.
8. Traveling out of town (occasionally).
9. Willingness to use tools if needed (rare).
10. Overseeing project quality of crew and subcontractors.
11. Representing the company in an appropriate manner to Owners, Subcontractors, and other professionals.
12. Ensuring that required safety standards are complied with by all project staff and subcontractors.

REQUIREMENTS:

1. At least 5-10 years in a supervisory role in the construction.
2. Proficient understanding of construction scheduling, cost control, and the ability to supervise several crews and subcontractors.
3. Ability to plan and schedule the work of others.
4. Excellent working knowledge of computers including email, Excel, and Word. ProCore and MS Project proficient.

COMPENSATION:

Company vehicle

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $75,000 - $105,000 based on experience

Experience:

• Construction: 5-10 years (Required)
• Experience in Food Plants a plus
