Job summary

Kane Partners LLC is seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to own projects from preconstruction through closeout. This hands-on PM role oversees budgets, schedules, contracts, subcontractors, change orders and client communication, coordinating with the superintendent and field team.

Applicants should have 5+ years of PM experience with a commercial contractor, be able to read plans and specs, and manage client relationships.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management experience with a commercial construction contractor.
• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through completion.
• Direct responsibility for budgets, costs and change orders.
• Strong understanding of contracts, subcontractors and scheduling.
• Ability to read plans, specifications and scopes of work.

Job description

We're looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to take ownership of projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This is a hands-on PM role with responsibility for the budget, schedule, contracts, subcontractors, change orders, client communication and overall project performance.

You'll work closely with the Superintendent and field team while coordinating owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and vendors.

What you'll handle:

• Preconstruction, estimating support and subcontractor bidding
• Project budgets, costs, commitments and forecasting
• Scheduling, procurement and project milestones
• Contracts, scopes, RFIs, submittals and change orders
• Owner, architect, engineer and subcontractor coordination
• Project meetings and client communication
• Financial and project-status reporting
• Punch list, turnover and closeout

Commercial, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, institutional, specialty construction and design-build experience will all be considered.

What we're looking for:

• 5+ years of Project Management experience with a commercial construction contractor
• Experience managing projects from preconstruction through completion
• Direct responsibility for budgets, costs and change orders
• Strong understanding of contracts, subcontractors and scheduling
• Ability to read plans, specifications and scopes of work
• Procore or another construction management platform
• Strong client-facing communication and problem-solving skills
