HITT Contracting in Northern California is seeking a Project Executive to lead advanced manufacturing construction projects, including semiconductor facilities and cleanrooms.

This role oversees projects from preconstruction through closeout, manages budgets and schedules, coordinates complex MEP systems and turnover, and builds strong client and partner relationships to drive growth in the region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, business, or a related field strongly preferred.
• 10+ years of commercial construction experience, preferably with a general contractor.
• Experience delivering semiconductor facilities, cleanrooms, or advanced manufacturing projects is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain adherence to safety and quality standards across all projects.
• Provide executive oversight for semiconductor, cleanroom, and advanced manufacturing construction projects.
• Lead projects from preconstruction through procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout.
• Oversee project financial performance: budgets, forecasts, cost reporting, change management, profitability.
• Coordinate shutdowns, utility tie-ins, and work within active manufacturing environments.
• Establish relationships with clients, design partners, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Lead contract negotiations and support business development in Northern California.

This individual is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with HITT’s quality standards.The ideal candidate will have significant experience delivering semiconductor facilities, cleanrooms, or other technically complex advanced manufacturing projects. The Project Executive serves as the primary executive-level liaison among clients, design partners, trade partners, and internal project teams while supporting business development and long-term client relationships throughout the Northern California market.ResponsibilitiesMaintain adherence to HITT’s safety and quality standards across all assigned projectsProvide executive oversight for semiconductor, cleanroom, and advanced manufacturing construction projectsLead projects from preconstruction and estimating through procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeoutOversee project financial performance, including budgets, forecasts, cost reporting, change management, and profitabilityReview project schedules, logistics plans, procurement strategies, and major construction milestonesManage complex MEP systems and coordinate process utilities, controls, life-safety systems, and specialized production equipmentOversee clean-build protocols, contamination-control requirements, system turnover, commissioning, and validation activitiesCoordinate shutdowns, utility tie-ins, phased construction, and work within active manufacturing environmentsEstablish and maintain strong relationships with clients, design partners, subcontractors, vendors, and industry partnersLead contract negotiations and resolve significant scope, schedule, cost, and contractual mattersCollaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams to develop proposals, budgets, schedules, and project-execution strategiesConduct executive project reviews and ensure project teams provide accurate and timely reportingProvide leadership to Project Managers, Superintendents, MEP professionals, safety personnel, and other operations team membersRecruit, mentor, coach, and develop project teams while supporting succession planning and professional growthIdentify new business opportunities, participate in project pursuits, and expand HITT’s advanced manufacturing presence in Northern CaliforniaEnsure an efficient project closeout and turnover process that meets client and operational requirementsQualificationsHigh school diploma required; bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, business, or a related field strongly preferredAdditional relevant construction experience may be considered in lieu of a degree10+ years of commercial construction experience, preferably with a general contractorPrevious experience in a Project Executive, Senior Project Manager, or comparable leadership positionDemonstrated experience delivering semiconductor facilities, cleanrooms, or advanced manufacturing projects is requiredStrong knowledge of technically complex MEP systems, process utilities, equipment coordination, commissioning, and facility turnoverExperience performing construction within active manufacturing or mission-critical environmentsProven ability to manage multiple projects or a large, complex construction programStrong preconstruction, estimating, contract negotiation, scheduling, financial-management, and risk-management experienceEstablished industry relationships and the ability to support business development within the Bay Area market preferredAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Procore, Bluebeam, JD Edwards, and related project-management systemsMastery of reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and technical documentationAbility to organize people, resources, and schedules to meet demanding project requirements and deadlinesKnowledge of current market conditions, construction pricing, labor availability, and procurement trendsThe successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to:Lead confidently and serve as the executive-level authority for assigned projectsCommunicate complex technical and construction information clearly and professionallyDevelop trusted relationships with clients, trade partners, consultants, and internal stakeholdersManage competing priorities while identifying and resolving critical issuesLead collaborative decision-making across operations, preconstruction, design, and field teamsAnticipate project risks and implement effective mitigation strategiesCoach and develop project team members at all levelsAdapt to evolving technology, design requirements, construction methods, and client needsDemonstrate integrity consistent with The HITT Way and HITT’s core valuesMaintain a customer-focused approach while protecting HITT’s operational and financial interestsIn accordance with California’s Labor Code Section 432.3, the base salary range for this position is:$163,350.00 - $217,800.00Compensation in other cities and states may vary.
