Job summary

MPI, a well-established commercial general contractor in Minnesota, seeks a motivated Commercial Construction Project Coordinator to support delivery across a range of commercial builds. You will coordinate documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and schedules, while interfacing with field teams, subcontractors, architects, and clients to maintain

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in commercial construction (Project Coordinator/Project Engineer or similar)
• Experience with a general contractor preferred
• Exposure to commercial, multifamily or renovation projects
• Strong understanding of RFIs, submittals, change orders, plans/specs
• Ability to assist with scheduling and coordination across multiple stakeholders
• Proficiency with construction/project management software (e.g., Procore)

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in coordinating and executing commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Manage project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and schedules
• Coordinate communication between field teams, subcontractors, architects, and clients
• Assist in tracking budgets, costs, and project progress
• Help drive project schedules by monitoring deadlines and addressing delays
• Operate project management systems to maintain records and reporting
• Support procurement and subcontractor coordination for timely delivery of materials
• Deliver administrative and technical support to ensure smooth project execution
