Rockford Park District in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a Construction Project Coordinator to support the planning, execution, and delivery of commercial construction projects across Michigan and the Midwest. You will coordinate project startup, maintain files, assist with schedules, and foster communication among owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Association or bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent construction industry experience.
• 2+ years of experience in commercial construction project coordination or a related role.
• Working knowledge of commercial construction processes and project lifecycles.
• Experience managing construction documents including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers in administration and execution of commercial construction projects from contract award through closeout.
• Coordinate project startup activities, document setup, permit tracking, and stakeholder communications.
• Maintain project files, records, and correspondence per company standards.
• Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, action-item logs, and milestone tracking.
• Facilitate communication among owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
• Prepare meeting agendas, document minutes, and distribute follow-up items.
• Monitor document routing and ensure timely responses in Procore and other PM systems.
• Assist with subcontract documentation, pay applications, and cost reporting.
