Job summary

Stealth Construction LLC in Richmond, TX is seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will read complex drawings, perform accurate quantity takeoffs, and prepare competitive bids from start to finish.

You will review drawings, coordinate with project managers and subcontractors, and help identify cost-saving opportunities through value engineering. Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and estimating software is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of construction estimating experience, preferably in commercial construction.
• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and details/specifications.
• Proven experience performing detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam Revu.
• Experience with estimating and/or project management software.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction materials, methods, and sequencing.
• Ability to analyze subcontractor and supplier proposals for exclusions or discrepancies.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and bid deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and other construction drawings and specifications.
• Perform accurate and detailed quantity takeoffs for commercial construction projects.
• Prepare complete project estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Solicit, review, and compare subcontractor and supplier proposals.
• Identify scope gaps, discrepancies, conflicts, and potential cost impacts.
• Prepare RFIs and clarification requests when drawings or specifications are incomplete or unclear.
• Review project addenda and incorporate revisions into estimates.
• Prepare competitive and accurate bids in accordance with project requirements and deadlines.
• Assist with value engineering and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintain organized bid documents, takeoffs, pricing, and estimate records.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors throughout the estimating process.
• Assist with project turnover by providing accurate scope, quantity, and pricing information to the project management team
