Job summary

HR Group - Construction Division in Prague, OK is seeking a Construction Estimator to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial projects and to develop detailed takeoffs and bid packages. You will collaborate with ownership, project managers, and subcontractors to win profitable work and maintain organized bid files.

The role requires 3–5 years of estimating experience, proficiency with digital takeoff tools, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience estimating commercial construction projects.
• Proficiency with digital takeoff and estimating software (Bluebeam, PlanSwift, ProEst, or equivalent).
• Ability to read and interpret commercial construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience soliciting, leveling, and negotiating subcontractor bids.
• Strong organizational and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs using estimating tools.
• Solicit, evaluate, and level subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Develop and maintain a database of labor, material, and equipment costs.
• Identify scope gaps and risks; communicate findings to ownership and teams.
• Prepare bid proposals with breakdowns, allowances, and exclusions.
• Track bid opportunities and manage deadlines; support preconstruction.
