Responsibilities:

1. Review and analyze construction project plans, blueprints, specifications, and other relevant documents to understand the scope and requirements of the project.
2. Perform estimations for medium to large-scale projects independently and assist with reviewing others.
3. Perform in-depth take-offs fully and completely.
4. Stay up to date with all market trends and keep the unit cost sheet updated accordingly.
5. Understand client requirements for turning in a successful bid package.
6. Clarify inclusions and exclusions clearly.
7. Vet and qualify subcontractor and vendor bid proposals based upon scope of work and other factors.
8. Utilize advanced data analysis for accurate cost forecasting and estimations.
9. Collaborate with other parties for effective estimation decisions.
10. Assist in the mentoring and development of junior estimators.
11. Seek new methods and tools to improve estimation accuracy and efficiency.
12. Use multiple platforms to gather bids.
13. Ensure timely submission of bids to the clients.
14. Compile and compare bid tabulations.

6. Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Bluebeam, ProEst, or similar.
7. Advanced Excel skills, including data analysis and financial modeling.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
9. High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
10. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
