PBS Contracting, Inc. is seeking a commercial construction estimator. The estimator is an essential member of our the team and integral to our continued success. We seek someone who is organized, highly attentive to detail, knowledgeable, autonomous, dependable, and able to adapt and analyze situations for effective resolution.

Qualifications:

• Requires 5 years of experience in commercial construction
• Bachelor’s degree in construction-related field, preferably within Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Architectural Design
• Non-degreed candidates must be able to demonstrate broad practical experience in construction and/or facility management
• Ability to read blueprints, specifications and building code knowledge in the state of Virginia
• Must be able to estimate various trades; solicit and evaluate subcontractor bids
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.

Responsibilities included, but are not limited to:

• Generate conceptual estimates with detailed scope description and unit price breakdown
• Generate and maintain in-house unit price data for various components of work
• Generate accurate take-offs for a range of trades and scopes
• Providing cost analysis to the client in the form of value engineering and alternates

Schedule: Full-time /8-hour shift

Annual Pay : $75,869.00 to $82,920.00
