Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and professional Ground Up Commercial Estimator to work with the VP of Preconstruction. The role involves assembling and organizing complete project bids for ground-up commercial projects ranging from $2 million to $20 million. Responsibilities

• Create data-driven preliminary project budgets
• Write subcontractor scopes and assist project managers through buyout
• Manage bid invitation process
• Assist in subcontractor prequalification
• Develop project schedules for conceptual and bid phases
• Maintain clear communication and strong client relations
• Qualify subcontractor RFIs and manage document control with the design team
• Prepare detailed, competitive project proposals and bid clarifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, or Business
• Proficiency in MS Office and MS Excel
• Experience with scheduling software (MS Project or similar)
• High-level plan reading skills for civil, architectural, structural, and MPE design
• Strong technical writing and communication skills
• Ability to analyze complex project cost models
• Experience with web-based project management tools (Procore preferred)
• Self-driven, organized, and effective negotiator
• Minimum of 3 years of estimating/project management in commercial construction
