Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Ground Up Commercial Estimator to work with the VP of Preconstruction. Responsibilities include assembling project bids for ground-up commercial projects ranging from $2 million to $20 million.

Responsibilities

1. Create data-driven preliminary project budgets.
2. Write subcontractor scopes and assist in project buyout.
3. Manage the bid invitation process.
4. Assist in subcontractor prequalification.
5. Develop project schedules for bid phases.
6. Maintain clear communication and strong client relations.
7. Qualify RFIs and manage document control with the design team.
8. Prepare detailed and competitive project proposals and bid clarifications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Business.
• Proficient in MS Office and scheduling software (MS Project or similar).
• High-level plan reading skills for civil, architectural, structural, and MPE designs.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze complex project cost models.
• Minimum 3 years of estimating or project management experience in commercial construction.
