Job summary

Farmer Brothers is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to install, repair, and remove commercial coffee and beverage equipment at customer sites. You will handle both scheduled and unscheduled tasks, participate in after-hours coverage, and maintain stock for efficient service.

You will communicate clearly with customers and internal teams, document work thoroughly, and plan installations with the team to meet SLAs. Travel within a 100+ mile radius is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of mechanical/technical experience.
• Foodservice experience a plus.
• Exposure to electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and using test meters.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel within a 100+ mile radius.
• Strong problem-solving and equipment diagnostics capability.
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs frequently.
• Experience juggling emergencies, PMs, surveys, and installs.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and remove commercial coffee and beverage dispensing equipment.
• Handle scheduled and unscheduled tasks: emergency calls, PM visits, site surveys, and full installs.
• Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call coverage.
• Maintain van stock and spare parts; reorder within company replenishment guidelines.
• Close service tickets accurately with detailed notes, complete invoices, and required customer signatures.
• Plan and execute installation projects in coordination with team schedules.
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams; passing along feedback and requests.
• Meet customer program SLAs while prioritizing work to meet expectations.

Quick Facts

• Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 am–4:30 pm
• On-Call: Required rotation, including weekends
• Territory: Typically within a 100-mile driving radius; some regional travel may occur

What Will You Work On?
