Job summary

CBRE Government and Defense is seeking a Commercial Cleaner to support daily cleaning of high-traffic areas. The role includes mopping, sweeping, restroom stocking, and maintaining a clean, safe work environment in Middletown, CT.

This temporary position requires a high school diploma and 2 years of cleaning experience, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work independently or with a team. Pay starts at $19.20 per hour after 6 months, rising to $19.75 after one year, with benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent education.
• 2 years of job-related cleaning experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily cleaning support to high-traffic areas.
• Stock bathrooms with toilet paper, paper towels, Kleenex, and soap.
• Sweep, vacuum, wipe, and mop storage units, hallways, restrooms, elevators, etc.
• Dust furniture, walls, and equipment which includes moving and rearranging furniture.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors using cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Ensure that cleaning supplies are in a safe, secure area at all times.
• Complete standardized cleaning process as per company standards.
• Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment.
• Attend all regular staff meetings and required in-service training sessions.
• Follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
• Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems while having a limited opportunity to exercise discretion.
