The Commercial Claims Training Coordinator is a full‑time, exempt role reporting to the VP of Claims Operations. It oversees the development, maintenance, and delivery of training programs for the Commercial Claims department and

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years commercial claims adjusting experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or AIC designation.
• Supervisory and training experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of commercial auto, commercial property, and/or commercial liability claims, applicable case law, insurance industry practices, third‑party recovery, and claims handling principles.
• Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, critical‑thinking, decision‑making, and communication skills.
• Exceptional organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct the development, maintenance, and delivery of customized curricula to train new employees, deliver new skills and knowledge to incumbent staff, and provide continuing education.
• Oversee, in close coordination with department leadership, the development, maintenance, and implementation of formal quality‑review instruments to measure employee proficiency, identify training and development needs, and optimize established processes and common practices.
• Create reports and other tools to measure and demonstrate the efficacy of training efforts and communicate key results to department leadership and employees.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of commercial claims guidelines, policies, procedures, manuals, training materials, and technical reference resources.
• Identify, recruit, train, and coordinate a stable of subject‑matter experts.
• Direct a formal mentoring program for new employees.
• Drive continuous improvement throughout the department by identifying opportunities for enhancements in workflow, processes, procedures, systems, and claims‑handling practices.
• Oversee the delivery of continuing education for the Commercial Claims department and provide support for professional licensing and certification efforts.
