Towne Insurance is seeking a Commercial Lines Claims Coordinator for our Norfolk or Richmond team. This role handles first notice of loss filings, and serves as the liaison between members and insurers to drive claims toward timely closure.

The position requires experience with claims filing, diary systems, and carrier portals, plus strong communication and attention to detail. Competitive compensation aligns with market, range $57,000–$70,000 plus benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience filing commercial lines claims and managing claim mail.
• Experience maintaining a diary system and tracking notes.
• Ability to interact with carriers and risk advisors with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• File the first notice of loss for commercial lines via phone or email and submit to the carrier.
• Serve as liaison between members and insurers to move claims toward closure.
• Transmit information and documents to carriers and clients promptly.
• Obtain claim numbers and adjuster details and share with Towne members.
• Document claim files and maintain diary entries for all interactions.
• Update payments and reserve numbers as needed.
• Handle inquiries from members, claimants, and carriers about claims questions.
• Research coverage and coordinate discussions with carriers and risk advisors.
• Mentor/Collaborate with other Commercial Lines Claims Advocates.
