Towne Insurance is seeking a Commercial Lines Claims Coordinator to join our Norfolk or Richmond team. The role handles first notice of loss, follows through with carriers, and liaises with members throughout the claims process to drive timely closures.

The position offers a compensation range of $57,000 to $70,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. This role emphasizes service excellence, accuracy, and teamwork within a supportive firm culture.

Qualifications

• Experience filing claims and maintaining a diary system.
• Proficient with carrier websites and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to members for multiple lines of business.
• Expedite claims process and document detailed notes on calls.
• Direct issues to appropriate escalation paths.
• Take new client loss reports and submit to the appropriate carrier.
• Transmit information and documents to carriers and clients promptly.
• Obtain claim numbers and adjuster details for Towne members.
• Document claim files and maintain diary system with accurate records.
• Keep risk advisors informed of large loss claims and update payments as needed.
• Handle incoming calls from members, claimants, and carriers about claims.
