Job summary

Nicolet National Bank in Wisconsin seeks a Commercial Banker to administer and grow commercial loan relationships, including secured and unsecured facilities, while maximizing profitability and minimizing risk. The role involves evaluating loan requests, staying within lending policy, and developing new business through referrals and outreach to local businesses.

You will help cross-sell bank products and manage ongoing portfolios for sustained client success.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to compose correspondence and reports.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build trusted business relationships.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality in financial matters.
• Good judgment and decisive decision‑making in lending situations.
• Proficiency with PC, phone system and general office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Attend to customer relationships and prospects seeking loans or lines of credit with appropriate risk consideration.
• Make decisions on loans within lending limits or escalate to Senior Lending Officer as needed.
• Manage loan portfolio in line with approved terms and bank policy.
• Provide insights on business management and financial matters to strengthen relationships.
• Develop new business by calling on prospects and cross-selling bank products.
• Monitor portfolio including past dues, renewals and collections where necessary.
• Analyze customer information to inform credit structures and potential closings.
• Engage in community activities to support business opportunities.
