Job summary

Nicolet National Bank is seeking a Commercial Banker to manage loan relationships, assess credit risk, and expand the bank's commercial lending portfolio. The role emphasizes cross-selling bank products while maintaining adherence to lending policies and regulatory requirements.

The position involves working with business customers to structure credit solutions, manage portfolios, and deliver value through financial guidance and superior service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or similar.
• 1-3 years of financial industry experience / 2-5 years Commercial Banking experience.
• PC, phone system, general office equipment.
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
• Solid judgment and decision-making skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication; strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Attend to customer relationships and prospects seeking loans or lines of credit on terms with varied risk.
• Make loan decisions within lending limits or recommend to Senior Lending Officer.
• Manage portfolio within policy and bank lending guidelines.
• Provide feedback to customers on business management and financial matters to add value.
• Develop new business by calling on prospects and customers for commercial loans; cross-sell products.
• Manage ongoing portfolio incl. past dues, renewals, review of overdrafts and collection activities.
• Collect and analyze financial information to support credit structure recommendations and closing credit relationships.
• Participate in community affairs to increase bank visibility and opportunities.
• Direct and manage work activity of administrative staff.
• Stay abreast of regulations, policies, procedures, and economic trends.
• Uphold Nicolet's philosophy and policies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations; contribute to quality of services.
• Understand and communicate the value of diversity and inclusion; support equal employment opportunities.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
