SouthState Bank is seeking a Commercial Banking Associate for new graduates. The program begins with six months of onsite training in Tampa, FL, then returns to the local market.

The role starts January 11, 2027 and focuses on underwriting, loan processing, portfolio management, and relationship management. You will support origination and servicing tasks, collaborate with sales partners, and develop skills across commercial term loans, lines of credit, cash management, and SBA-backed lending.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree within the last 2 years or Dec 2026 grad.
• Minimum GPA 3.4, preferred.
• Prior internship experience in finance, banking, or related field.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop underwriting, loan processing, portfolio management and relationship management skills.
• Assist in loan origination, gathering client docs, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with sales partners to identify new business opportunities.
