Job summary

Advance Auto Parts is seeking a Commercial Specialist to support CPP-led sales, coordinate deliveries, and maintain vehicle readiness. You will lead the parts department area, stock inventory, and assist customers with upselling and cross-selling opportunities.

The role requires strong communication, basic vehicle knowledge, and proficiency with inventory and POS systems. Flexible schedule with weekend work may be expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required. ASE certification preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of inventory and parts lookup systems; ability to operate POS software.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to build relationships with customers and team members.
• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance and automotive parts.
• SQL-like or basic inventory software experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with dispatching and coordinating commercial deliveries from order creation to dispatched for delivery.
• Maintain store vehicle fleet readiness and safety checks.
• Engage with customers and upsell/cross-sell to increase transaction value.
• Lead organization and maintenance around the parts department and backroom.
• Support onboarding and shadowing of new team members.
