Job summary

CNA is seeking an individual contributor to manage commercial claims with low to moderate complexity. You will investigate, verify coverage, and resolve claims while maintaining high service standards.

The role requires collaboration with insureds, claimants, and partners, and involves processing disbursements within authority and addressing potential subrogation or fraud cases. A license within 90 days is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must obtain and maintain an Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire where applicable.
• Prior claim handling or insurance/customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages low to moderate complexity commercial claims per protocols.
• Interacts professionally with insureds and claimants to support satisfaction and timely updates.
• Verifies coverage, reserves and liability by reviewing policy language and procedures.
• Gathers information, takes statements and collaborates with experts to determine facts.
• Collaborates with internal/external partners to achieve best claim outcomes.
• Authorizes disbursements within authority and negotiates settlements as appropriate.
• Identifies subrogation/salvage opportunities and potential fraud for referrals.
• Maintains compliance with state/local regulatory requirements and company guidelines.
