Job summary

CNA is seeking an experienced professional to manage highly complex commercial auto claims with broad authority to resolve disputes and determine settlements. You will coordinate investigations, liaise with customers, insureds, and internal teams to drive timely, cost-effective outcomes with strong customer service.

The role supports designated accounts and requires a hybrid work schedule with 2 days in CNA offices weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• Typically a minimum eight years claims experience.
• Knowledge of insurance and claims principles, practices and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manages highly complex investigations of claims, including coverage issues, liability, compensability and damages.
• Determines if a major claim should be settled or litigated and implements an appropriate resolution strategy.
• Coordinates discovery and litigation strategy with staff counsel or panel attorneys.
• Negotiates highly complex settlement packages and authorizes payment within scope of authority.
• Coordinates third party recovery with subrogation/salvage unit.
• Analyzes claims activities and presents reports to management and partners.
