Job summary

CNA Insurance wants an experienced claims adjuster to manage commercial claims in a fast-paced environment. You will verify coverage, document thoroughly, and determine liability with supporting evidence.

You’ll work with insureds, claimants, and business partners to ensure timely updates, accurate reserve settings, and high-quality service while maintaining regulatory compliance and professional communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associates or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Must obtain Insurance Adjuster License within 90 days of hire where applicable.
• Prior claim handling or business experience in insurance/customer service is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages an inventory of low to moderate complexity commercial claims by following protocols to verify policy coverage and disburse within authority.
• Interacts with insureds, claimants and partners to provide timely updates and responses to inquiries.
• Verifies coverage, estimates claim valuation, and follows claim handling protocols.
• Investigates to determine liability and substantiates facts with witnesses and experts.
• Collaborates with internal/external partners to facilitate best claim outcomes.
• Authorized and ensures claim disbursements within authority, negotiating settlements as needed.
• Develops ability to manage expenses by timely resolution and resource oversight.
• Identifies subrogation/salvage opportunities or fraud and refers for further investigation.
• Maintains quality standards and compliance with state/local requirements.
