Job summary

Nortek Air Solutions in Oregon seeks a Sales Application Engineer to craft accurate quotes and technical proposals for custom HVAC equipment. You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and operations to translate customer requirements into feasible designs, generate pricing, and support project execution from quote through delivery.

Your role includes learning in-house software and supporting cross-functional teams to ensure profitable, on-time project outcomes.

Qualifications

• BA/BS degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Sales or relevant field experience.
• Demonstrates problem-solving and analytical abilities to interpret sales performance and market trends.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking ability in a timeline-driven environment.
• Independent analysis and judgment in applying company policies to solve non-standard problems.

Responsibilities

• Create proposals and sales drawings.
• Single point of contact for project-related issues, including project management.
• Assist sales staff in applying company products to meet customer needs.
• Manage contract changes to protect project profitability.
• Prepare accurate pricing and quotations from specifications and documents.
• Gather and review engineering data for product customization.
• Review drawings and design to support layouts and drawings.
• Learn in-house design software and manufacturing software for job data input.
