Job Description

AMECO is seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Account Manager for our assigned sales territory in/around Baton Rouge (70%) and surrounding areas (30%) within approximately a two-hour radius.

The Commercial Account Manager will provide tailored solutions to meet our customers' equipment, tooling, and consumable needs. The ideal candidate is a team player with excellent sales and customer service skills, capable of building and maintaining long-term relationships. Our customer base includes construction businesses, contractors, scaffolding, industrial, electrical, power, welding, and rigging industries.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Increase market share by prospecting new business and servicing existing accounts within the territory.
  2. Develop and maintain relationships that impact long-term success, including quoting, selling, up-selling, and cross-selling to increase customer trust and spend.
  3. Manage assigned accounts to meet customer service expectations and achieve sales and profitability goals.
  4. Utilize CRM platform to build and manage a pipeline of qualified business.
Requirements
  • Minimum three years’ experience in outside sales, account management, or business development.
  • Experience or exposure to supply distribution, equipment rental, mechanical, contracting, or construction services, with knowledge of tools and equipment preferred.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to respond at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Some college or associate degree in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting.
  • SAP experience, particularly SAP Business One, is a plus.

This role involves travel, including overnight stays. The position is remote, supported by the Baton Rouge, LA branch.
