This position reports to

Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities.
The work model for the role is: hybrid
This role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings division in North America.
You will be mainly accountable for:
* Plan and implement sales strategies to maximize market share and margin with electric contractors
* Coordinate with commercial operations team to develop accurate proposals for complex switchgear projects
* Develop selling strategies to negotiate and close large deals
* Provide market feedback, competitive intelligence and hit-rate information to business and sales leadership
* Meet or exceed assigned volume measurements

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Industrial Distribution or HS Diploma with 5+ years of direct industry experience.
  • Experience with complex contract negotiations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of electrical industry and ABB products.
  • Experience working with contractors & channel partners.
  • Ability to utilize analytical software and sales tools.
  • Travel less than 10% outside of Austin, TX territory
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
