Job summary

Footbridge Federal seeks a seasoned network engineer to design and implement secure network infrastructure for defense and intelligence missions. You will lead deployments, create templates and training materials, and guide teams through modernized solutions on-site.

This role requires TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph, DoD 8140 Level II compliance, and extensive experience with command/telemetry hardware. You will interact with customers to tailor systems to mission needs.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph is required.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II compliance (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Experience with command and telemetry hardware solutions, especially packet and data buffers.
• Solid understanding of RS422/RS533 electrical specs and cabling.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, VRF, VLAN, and NTP routing/switching.
• Education/Experience equivalent to: HS+16y, AA+14y, BA+12y, MS+10y, PhD+8y.

• Design and implement network infrastructure requirements, including routers, switches, BGP, VRF, VLAN, and NTP.
• Provide technical direction for command and telemetry solutions using specialized packet and data buffering hardware.
• Develop installation plans, deployment procedures, templates, and training materials for service teams.
• Facilitate the transition and migration from legacy network designs to modernized solutions.
• Assess customer requirements, consult on system modifications, and address technical inquiries.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II compliance (such as Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Experience with command and telemetry hardware solutions, specifically packet and data buffers.
• Solid understanding of low-speed serial communications, including RS422/RS533 electrical specifications and cabling.
• Strong knowledge of network routing and switching protocols (BGP, VRF, VLAN, NTP).
• Professional experience and education equivalent to one of the following:
• High School Diploma with 16 years of experience
• Associate degree with 14 years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of experience
• Master’s degree with 10 years of experience
• Doctorate with 8 years of experience
