Job summary

Footbridge Federal seeks a seasoned Systems Integration Engineer to verify ground software, space vehicle operations, and command systems. You will design and execute comprehensive test plans, procedures, and documentation while partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve integration issues.

Job description

• Perform verification and validation (V&V) activities for ground software, space vehicle operations, and command systems.
• Design, develop, and execute comprehensive integration and test plans, procedures, and documentation.
• Partner with developers and cross-functional engineering teams to troubleshoot and resolve system integration issues.
• Implement testing tools and automation strategies to streamline the integration lifecycle.
• Document test results, system findings, and recommendations for performance optimization.

Minimum Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph.
• Bachelor’s degree with at least 5 years of systems integration experience (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Proven experience in ground software system verification, specifically with Command and Control (C2) or Mission Management (MM) systems.
• Strong background in integration and testing activities, including planning, execution, and documentation.
• Demonstrated expertise with automated testing tools.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python, MATLAB, C/C++, or Java.
• Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools like Cameo or Visio.
• Familiarity with collaboration and lifecycle management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, and GitLab.
• Knowledge of Systems Tool Kit (STK) for mission simulation.
• Experience working in Agile environments, including sprint planning and backlog management.
• Familiarity with Gherkin/Cucumber testing frameworks, Docker containers, and AWS cloud services.
