Job summary

Puget Sound Energy seeks a CT Journey Worker to inspect, operate, and maintain generation plant electrical and mechanical equipment, focusing on combustion turbines and steam or combined cycle facilities in Longview, WA. The role may be in Operations or Maintenance as needed and involves safety-sensitive work with pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities include diagnosing equipment, driving and operating plant machinery, and progressing from Outside Operator to Control Room Operator.

Qualifications

• Completion of a recognized combustion turbine apprenticeship or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must obtain and maintain First Aid/CPR/AED certificate and lift truck certification.
• Compliance with Company standards, policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Construct, install, inspect, operate and maintain generation plant electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Drive and operate equipment; perform related duties as required.
• Respond to plant emergencies with irregular schedules and overtime as needed.
• Advance from Outside Operator to Control Room Operator as qualified.
