Job summary

Oglethorpe Power Corporation seeks a skilled technician to operate and maintain simple-cycle combustion turbine technologies and plant systems. You will perform rounds, start-ups/shut downs, troubleshooting, preventive and predictive maintenance to ensure safe, reliable power generation and optimal O&M costs.

Responsibilities include maintenance planning, MAXIMO work orders, safety compliance, contract administration, and reporting to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and company policies

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree preferred.
• Experience: 6 years operating or maintaining a power facility; 8 years with equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain simple-cycle combustion turbine technologies and plant systems.
• Perform operator rounds, start-ups/shut downs, and maintenance to ensure safe, reliable power generation and optimize O&M costs.
• Maintain safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance; participate in outages and planning.
