Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking a skilled professional to perform operations, inspections, and maintenance on our Combined Cycle Generation sites in Beloit, WI. The role requires hands-on mechanical, basic electrical, and control maintenance work to ensure reliable steam and electric generation.

You will operate DCS, participate in safety briefings, and collaborate with contractors on troubleshooting and repairs, while maintaining logs and preventive maintenance programs.

Qualifications

• 2 years power generation maintenance and/or operations experience.
• 2 years in electrical, mechanical or instrument & control trades or 2 years of Combined Cycle maintenance/operations.
• Must be willing to travel and live within 60 minutes of headquarters.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Performs Combined Cycle operations, inspections, and maintenance in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintains proficiency in operation of Combined Cycle Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Performs safety orientations and briefings with contractors; collaborates on troubleshooting and repairs.
• Maintains and documents routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Operates and maintains water treatment systems and related controls.
• Monitors turbine performance and maintains testing records.
• Supports inventory and warehouse activities as needed.
• Trains employees to qualify in this and subordinate positions.
• Occasional travel to other generating facilities as needed.
