Job summary

Alliant Energy seeks a skilled technician to support operations, inspections, and maintenance of combustion turbines, HRSGs, and steam generators. You will perform mechanical, electrical, and control tasks to keep generation facilities running safely and efficiently.

The role requires mechanical experience, ability to read blueprints and diagrams, and a focus on safety. Maximo usage and routine maintenance are core parts of the job; a valid driver’s license is also required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years mechanical technical college or equivalent or 4 years in mechanical trade, or 2 years of Combustion Turbine maintenance experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams and drawings; work from specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform combustion turbine operations, inspections and maintenance safely and in accordance with guidelines and regulations.
• Maintain accurate operating logs and perform preventive maintenance.
• Operate and repair water treatment systems and related controls.
• Calibrate instruments and monitor turbine performance.
• Assist during overhauls and participate in safety and continuous improvement activities.
