Job summary

T-Solutions, Inc. in Virginia is seeking a Combat Systems Port Engineer (CSPE) to serve as the onboard representative responsible for ensuring ships are operationally ready.

This role requires direct observation and evaluation of shipboard conditions to validate maintenance actions and readiness. You will lead a maintenance team and act as the primary liaison for TYCOM and the Commanding Officer in off-ship maintenance and modernization efforts, applying deep expertise in US Navy C4I/C5I systems

Qualifications

• Experience with US Navy surface ship combat and communications systems.
• Proficient in C4I and C5I operations and maintenance.
• Knowledge of depot level combat systems repairs and modernization.
• Demonstrated leadership in a naval combat systems environment.
• Five years in a leadership role within combat systems or C4I/C5I domains.

Responsibilities

• Interface with ship crews to discuss shortfalls and validate work items.
• Verify off-ship maintenance validation and test system performance.
• Recommend timing of repairs and determine cost-effective maintenance levels.
• Provide risk assessment and priority for all maintenance requirements.
• Attend maintenance assessment events and resolve questions about funding and scope.
• Identify weaknesses in maintenance plans and modernization needs.
• Determine, validate, and diagnose maintenance requirements for assigned ships.
• Screen work to appropriate activities and plan availability periods.
• Integrate work items to create optimized maintenance packages.
• Monitor execution and support government quality, schedule, and cost.
