Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering or 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of surface ship combat system equipment and land site simulators.
• Ability to read and comprehend production drawings and military specifications for electrical and optical cable, connectors, back shells, and system design, integration and testing.

Responsibilities

• Review design drawings and conduct installation inspections of combat system equipment.
• Inspect equipment and cabling during installation to identify problems and provide solutions.
• Support engineering analysis during installation and test phase of a ship modernization effort.
• Identify and recommend changes to drawings and participate in re-installation of equipment, including hands-on troubleshooting and repair.
• Participate in design reviews and provide installation and operational support.
• Provide real-time feedback to ship design organizations regarding progress.
• Interact with suppliers and subcontractors as necessary.
