Job summary

Morgan & Morgan is seeking an experienced Workers' Compensation Attorney to join its Columbus, Georgia office. The attorney will handle a heavy caseload and hearings, contributing to a rapidly developing statewide practice and growth of the workers’ compensation team.

You will draft and file litigation documents, guide clients through the case process, and work with expert witnesses, depositions, mediations, and court appearances while delivering outstanding client service and advocacy.

Qualifications

• Law degree from a fully accredited law school
• An active member in good standing with the Georgia State Bar Association
• Minimum 3+ years of workers' compensation experience
• Ability to manage high volume of cases and hearings
• Excellent client service and communication skills
• Self-starter driven by long-term career goals
• Superior writing and oral advocacy skills

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day handling of cases and hearings
• Drafting and filing of litigation documents to include pleadings, discovery requests, discovery responses, demands, motions and memorandum
• Guide clients through the case process
• Interaction with expert witnesses to include conferences, drafting of expert reports and affidavits
• Attendance and preparation for depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
